(The Counter-Clock Incident. [TAS]).

Karla Five's ship. Small starship from the reverse universe capable of warp 36. It accidentally got into the normal universe and dragged the Enterprise into the reverse universe on its return. (The Counter-Clock Incident. [TAS]).

Kirk, James T. * Kirk tricked the malignant alien when in control of the Enterprise by placing his life support belt over the main warp drive controls, touching a control and rolling clear. The controls were burnt out, needing an manual auxiliary control to be mounted and thence allowing control of the Enterprise to be regained. (Beyond the Farthest Star. [TAS]) With Erikson he went via the Guardian of Forever to research Orion history but returned to an alternate timeline followed by Spock who was found to be dead in that timeline. (Yesteryear. [TAS]). When photon torpedoes were found to be inadequate to destroy the cosmic being he ordered Scott to arm the autodestruct. This was not necessary when Spock established a Vulcan mind-meld with the being. (One of Our Planets Is Missing. [TAS]). He aged when the headband fitted by the Taurean settlers drained his energy. (The Lorelei Signal. [TAS]). In 2269 after the Klingons had been thwarted by tribbles being beamed to their ship where Kolothk finished up under a pile of the animals. (More Tribbles, More Troubles. [TAS]). This had happened in to Kirk in The Trouble with Tribbles. [TOS] He threatened the Vendorian with the powerful orientine acid when it was posing as a sickbay table. (The Survivor. [TAS]). He was abducted with Spock and Lucien and the rest of the Enterprise crew and put on trial for crimes against the Megans in Salem, Massachusetts. He fought a 'magic' duel with Asmodeus to save Lucien, convincing Asmodeus that humanity had changed. (The Magicks of Megas-Tu. [TAS]). He called for a phaser bore to penetrate the amusement park planet's shielding. (Once Upon a Planet. [TAS]). He threw the love crystals at the rock creatures to save Spock, Nurse Chapel and Harry Mudd. (Mudd's Passion. [TAS]). He rescued Nurse Chapel from the halo fish tank. In desperation at the crew's reducing size he transported down to Cepheus, found the he had returned to normal size and discovered the Terratin miniature city before automatically being beamed back. (The Terratin Incident. [TAS]). He was warned by Xerius that the Klingons had planted a explosive device on the Enterprise. (The Time Trap. [TAS]). He mutated into a water breather with webbed hands in the ocean on Argo. When the anti-mutation antitoxin was administered he temporarily developed scale and fins. (The Ambergris Element. [TAS]). When Kirk feigned illness, the Starfleet members convinced a young Lactran that Kirk needed a communicator. When the young Lactran was accidentally beamed aboard the Enterprise, the Lactran adults bombarded Kirk with telepathic pain. Only a combined mind shield by the other Starfleet personnel saved him. (The Eye of the Beholder. [TAS]). Selected for the mission to retrieve the Soul of the Skorr because of his leadership and adaptability. After the mission, he and the other members retained no memory of it. (The Jihad. [TAS]). He proposed to the Orion commander that the strobolin should be exchanged for extra dilithium and no record of the encounter with the Huron would be reported to the Federation. He met the Orion commander on an asteroid for the exchange and managed to apprehend him when he learned that the Orion was carrying a dilithium explosive device. (The Pirates of Orion. [TAS]). With Spock had his communicator and phaser switched for fakes by Commander Bem. The Delta Theta III entity tells James Tiberius Kirk he has some wisdom in not being prepared to abandon somebody he is responsible for. This the first time that his full middle name is used. He had Delta Theta III quarantined after the mission. (Bem. [TAS]). The gas-affected computer played a joke on Kirk. When his uniform was returned from the laundry its back was inscribed "KIRK IS A JERK". Kirk then played a practical joke on the computer by pretending to be petrified by the energy field causing it to take the Enterprise back into it, causing the Romulans to follow. (The Practical Joker. [TAS]). Kirk proceeded under his own authority to Dramia II to conduct an investigation into the Dramian auroral plague because he was out of subspace communication range with Starfleet. While fading away in sickbay from the plague he realised that the aurora caused the plague. (Albatross. [TAS]). He surmised that the sun was the source of power for Kulkukan's signalling device and later suffered a 2000 volts charge from a Capellan power-cat. (How Sharper Than a Serpent's Tooth. [TAS]).

Kulkukan ship. Space vehicle twice the size of the Enterprise, made entirely of crystalline ceramic and initially surrounded by an immense energy field. (How Sharper Than a Serpent's Tooth. [TAS]).

Kulkukan's signalling device. Kulkukan left plans with many early Earth cultures. The Egyptians, Chinese, Mayans, Toltecs and Aztecs, were to build a signalling device to tell him to return. He recreated it for the abducted group to solve the riddle of how it worked. At the centre was a square stepped pyramid and at each corner was a tower surmounted by a serpent's head which Scott found was rotatable. At the summit of the pyramid was a raised mosaic projecting the picture of a winged serpent. Kirk surmised that the sun might be the source of providing the signal. He had the others rotate the serpent's heads until all four focussed the light through the underside of the mosaic. A signal was projected skywards and Kulkukan appeared. (How Sharper Than a Serpent's Tooth. [TAS]).

Kulkukan zoo. Aboard his ship Kulkukan had a collection of 200 animal specimens from around the galaxy, caged, but each actually only aware of its own natural environment. One of the specimens was a Capellan power-cat. (How Sharper Than a Serpent's Tooth. [TAS]).

Kzinti. Keniclius Five was concerned that this race would have to have peace forced on them by a fleet of Phylosian ships. (The Infinite Vulcan. [TAS]). This feline race having lost four wars with humanoids over the last two hundred years was forbidden phaser weapons and only allowed space police vessels. They previously had eaten their enemies. They consider their women to be unintelligent. Renegade Kzinti were hoping to revive their races previous glory with the Slaver weapon. The Kzinti analysed the Slaver flesh in the stasis box and found it poisonous to them. (The Slaver Weapon. [TAS]).
