Davison. (Nichelle Nichols) When Uhura decided to take command of the Enterprise she instructed Davison to place all female details on the transporters and was in charge of security in the all-female rescue party. (The Lorelei Signal. [TAS]).

dead star. A dead star being born in the reverse universe was equivalent to a star going nova in the normal universe. A dead star in the reverse universe was ignited from the unmanned Karla Five's ship while towing the Enterprise to coincide with Minara going nova in the normal universe. The coinciding of the two events created a time gallery between the two universes. (The Counter-Clock Incident. [TAS]).

Delta Theta III entity. (Voiced by Nichelle Nichols) A non-corporeal being that protected the preindustrial aboriginal inhabitants of Delta Theta III, calling them its "children". It appeared on the sensors as a sensory anomaly. (Bem. [TAS]).

Delta Theta III. Found to be a Class-M planet with a possible preindustrial aboriginal population by a previous scouting mission. The planet was quarantined after Kirk's mission. (Bem. [TAS]).

Delta Triangle. Vast uninhabited sector of space where many starships had disappeared. (The Time Trap. [TAS]). Presumably named after the Bermuda Triangle where many ships and aircraft have disappeared. Kirk refers to it as the Sargasso Sea when they arrive in Elysia. Its area overlaps the Bermuda Triangle in the North Atlantic.

Demos. (Lou Scheimer) Dramian head of security with rank of commander. He 'stowed away' on the Enterprise, when the shuttlebay doors were left open. He fell ill with the Dramian auroral plague on return from Dramia II. (Albatross. [TAS]).

Deneb V.* Planet that was the destination of the Enterprise attending the dedication of the Starfleet Academy of Science. (The Pirates of Orion. [TAS]).

Denebian whale. The sur snake was likened to this amphibian. (The Ambergris Element. [TAS]).

desert flyer, Vulcan. Personal flying vehicle used by the Healer to return with the young Spock to try and save I-Chaya. (Yesteryear. [TAS]).

desert soft-suit, Vulcan. For his trip through the Guardian of Forever to repair the timeline Spock requested this long pale blue hooded coat. The young Spock wore one in grey for his trip into the desert. Spock also had made by the wardrobe department tall white boots, a red carrier bag and a selection of street wear circa 8877 Vulcan years. (Yesteryear. [TAS]).

Devna. (Nichelle Nichols) An Orion female on the Elysian Ruling Council who acted as its Interpreter of Laws. She also performed a dance of Orion women at a reception on the Enterprise. (The Time Trap. [TAS]).

dilithium.* All crystals in the Enterprise's propulsion systems of this hardest known molecule were shattered by the spiroid epsilon wave. (The Terratin Incident. [TAS]). After the Enterprise entered the Delta Triangle the dilithium crystals began to deteriorate giving the crew only four days to escape. (The Time Trap. [TAS]). The Huron was carrying a cargo of dilithium when the Orion pirates intercepted it. Kirk offered extra dilithium in exchange for the strobolin drug that they had also stolen. The Orion commander plotted to destroy both ships with a dilithium explosive device. (The Pirates of Orion. [TAS]).

Diogenes. McCoy likens Dr. Stavos Keniclius to Diogenes of Sinope, a 4th century BC philosopher.(The Infinite Vulcan. [TAS]).

disruptor bomb. Slaver ordinance once found in a stasis box with its pin pulled. (The Slaver Weapon. [TAS]).

Domar. (James Doohan) High Tribune of the Ruling Tribune of the Aquans. He was present on the bridge of the Enterprise when phaser fire was used to stabilise Argo's seismic activity. (The Ambergris Element. [TAS]).

Dramia II. McCoy was involved in a mass inoculation program on this planet in 2251. Afterwards all the population died from the Dramian auroral plague. Now only populated by those who were away at the time and chose to return. (Albatross. [TAS]).

Dramia. The Enterprise delivered medical supplies to this planet in 2270. McCoy was arrested while there. (Albatross. [TAS]).

Dramian auroral plague. Caused skin pigmentation changes from blue to green to red before causing debilitation and death. It annihilated nearly all of the population of Dramia II and the planet was left devastated. Anybody off-planet was not effected on their return. On return to Dramia all on board the Enterprise except Spock contracted the plague. Saurian virus antibodies were found to be the cure. (Albatross. [TAS]).

Dramian patrol ship. Small police vessel used by Commander Demos to pursue the Enterprise to Dramia II. Entrapped in the shuttlebay of the Enterprise. (Albatross. [TAS]).

Dramians. Tall intelligent large cranium bipeds. Their system of justice was swift. (Albatross. [TAS]).

dylovene. Injection used by McCoy in an attempt to save Sulu from poison from the retlaw plant. (The Infinite Vulcan. [TAS]).
